On-Demand Parenting Webinars

“Your Teen Is Not Lazy! How to Best Motivate an Adolescent with ADHD” [Video Replay & Podcast #202]

In this hour-long webinar-on-demand, learn how to build your teen’s self-reliance with Adam Price, Ph.D.

Episode Description

ADHD kills motivation. Most research conducted on motivating a child with ADHD centers on the brain, and rightfully so. However, other important factors also impact a person’s drive and determination — ones that parents can influence. Here, learn how to become your child’s biggest ally as he or she develops greater independence and discovers the keys to self-motivation. Also learn to strengthen the most important resource you have in the quest for self-reliance: the parent-child relationship.

In this webinar, you will learn about:

  1. the psychological link between ADHD and motivation
  2. the three Cs of motivation: competence, control, connection
  3. how parents’ best intentions may backfire
  4. how to avoid the trap of over-parenting a child or teen with ADHD
  5. how to enhance your child’s autonomy by setting structure without control
